AUTO21 Team to Investigate Child Transportation Safety

On September 12, 2011, Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State (Science and Technology), announced a $1.7 million Strategic Teams in Applied Injury Research (STAIR) grant awarded to an AUTO21 team . The team is investigating children's transportation safety including research on children's car seat safety, community safety (infrastructure needed to encourage children to safely walk or ride bikes to school) and a segment focusing on these issues within First Nations communities.
