Lisa Drouillard is the Deputy Director of the NCE secretariat responsible for the Centres of Excellence for Commercialization and Research Program, and the Industrial R&D Internship Program.
Lisa joined the secretariat in 2011 on a professional interchange from her position as Director, NSERC Liaison at Industry Canada where she worked with the Granting Councils and with major science initiatives in advancing the priorities of the Federal S&T Strategy. Lisa has worked in science policy for the majority of her 15 years in the federal government, having developed policies and programs related to science and innovation at Industry Canada, Health Canada and at the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. She has significant experience and expertise in both Intellectual Property and biotechnology R&D issues, having served as a delegate to the OECD Working Party on Biotechnology for several years, and representing Canada on a range of OECD working groups on biotechnology, health innovation, intellectual property and knowledge markets.
