NCE programs are overseen by a tri-agency Steering Committee made up of the deputy ministers of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) and Health, the presidents of the three granting agencies (the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)) and the president of the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) (as an observer).
