Launch of the 2005 Competition for New Networks
An open competition that began in 2003 will lead to the creation of new Networks of Centres of
Excellence in 2005. Approximately $10 million will be available annually to support these networks.
Researchers and their partners from the private and public sectors were invited to submit letters of
intent, a process completed in September 2003.
