Helping parents protect kids from bullying

Promoting Relationships and Eliminating Violence Network – PREVNET (NCE-KM)

Parents struggling to help a child victimized by bullying don’t usually turn to scientific papers for help. That’s why PREVNet has compiled this invaluable knowledge into an easy-to-use resource for parents, called “Bullying Prevention: What Parents Need to Know.” Nearly 3,000 copies of the book have been purchased to date by PREVNet partners, including the Canadian Red Cross, the Canadian Association of Principals and the National Crime Prevention Council. The book includes tips on how to talk to schools, what parents can say to their children and actions they can take to support a child who has been victimized.

This guide offers practical advice for parents on bullying: how to spot it, how to stop it and how to empower our kids. The highlighted examples give parents real strategies to work with, making this a must-have resource as we navigate the minefield of parenthood. Dorianne Sager, Author of "Baby is a Four Letter Word"
