Dr. Bansal is an award-winning expert on business sustainability and corporate social responsibility. A professor at the University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey School of Business, she founded and directs Ivey’s Centre for Building Sustainable Value and Network for Business Sustainability. Both of these organizations aim to strengthen the ties between research and practice. Dr. Bansal has contributed substantially to sustainability research. Her interest in the impact of the sustainability paradigm on business strategy has resulted in over 30 peer reviewed academic publications, and two books on Business and the Natural Environment. She has sat on seven different editorial boards and is presently an Associate Editor for the Academy of Management Journal. In 2008, she received the Aspen Institute's faculty pioneer award for Academic Leadership -- the only Canadian to receive this honour. In 2011, she was appointed to Clean50 for her contributions to sustainability and clean capitalism. She leads Ivey's Sustainability Leadership Program and was the faculty director for Ivey’s Management Development Program from 2008 to 2010.
